Whatever your current experience, we hope Bullring Speakers is a warm, encouraging environment in which to learn and develop an important skill, Public Speaking.  

 

The evening is normally broken down into two elements: one to practice spontaneous speaking, for when you are 'put on-the-spot', and the other, to practice prepared speeches.   

  

 

Using the structure provided by Toastmasters International, there is a clear development plan for everyone, from the absolute beginner standing up for the first time, to the accomplished speaker who is looking to take their speeches to the next level.

 

Although, there is a clear progression with accreditation along the way, we would encourage members to take this at their own pace, as many members have busy careers to consider as well.

 

Bullring Speakers meets every second and fourth Monday of the month at Carrs Lane Church Centre in Central Birmingham.  The evening starts at 6.45 pm, though most people arrive by 6.30pm as we always aim to begin promptly.

We would encourage visitors to just come and see for yourself how the evening is run.  There is no expectation for visitors to take any part in the program; however, if you later decide you wish to join we will encourage you to take a speaking role early.
